From his early childhood days in his father’s woodshop building speaker boxes, to living overseas, to joining THE EDGE team, Brent has always carried within him a deep-rooted passion for the Home Theater and Automation Industry. This passion was originally sparked by the enthusiasm his father had for excellence in two-channel reproduction. Together, in the early 90’s Brent and his father built the first of many custom-built stereo systems. Parts of this first system traveled the world with Brent and his family when they left Seattle to serve in Izmir, Turkey. He spent one year studying and traveling throughout Turkey and Europe before he moved to Manila, Philippines to finish high school.
After finishing high school, Brent moved to Illinois and spent four years studying at Wheaton College. He earned a BA in Communication and a second BA in Biblical studies but remained true to his love of A/V electronics. Two days after graduation he began his career as a home-automation specialist by partnering with a high-end A/V company in the heart of Chicago. This company was able to provide cutting edge training in system design and programming.
In 2004 Brent was given the opportunity to join Ray and the nationally-renown EDGE TEAM. Since joining the family, he has helped to expand what is considered possible in custom-designed home automation systems. With the better part of a decade of experience under his belt and installations completed from coast-to-coast, Brent and his installation teams have earned national attention.
Together, Brent and THE EDGE continue to pursue excellence in designing and installing high-performing home theater and automation systems. |
